A gift for a child or baby who may have blindness or low vision. We use the Braille alphabet to personalise, allowing familiarisation of their name or initials at this earliest stage of development.
This superlatively soft blanket is knitted and made to order from double weight 4 ply 100% cashmere which gives a luxuriously substantial feel, perfect for all seasons.
Naturally warm and hypoallergenic this simple and cosy blanket will keep baby 'snug as a bug' on a cold winters day and is a perfect size to use both in the nursery and as a pram blanket, out and about on baby's travels.
Personalise with baby's initials, monogram or name (there is a limit of up up to 4 lowercase characters to allow proper spacing of the Braille letters.), which can be embroidered by hand with raised tufty spots written in braille on the centrally placed knitted pocket. The raised braille letters are pure wool.
The cost per letter is £1.00 with the first letter being complimentary.

If you would like us to embroider letters from the standard alphabet please get in touch, as with the rest of the Purl English range we use a slipstich to embroider letters by hand. There is a charge per letter, with the first letter being complimentary.
