Natural Banana Bark Serving Tray

An earthy toned natural serving tray, ideal also for storing items. Carefully hand woven using natural grasses and the dried bark of banana trees.

Each tray takes 10 days to weave. The white base is made from threads of upcycled 'gunia' grain sacks making it sturdy and robust.

The combination of modern design and traditional weaving techniques, makes the trays versatile while reinforcing the natural beauty of local materials. They are ideal as a serving tray or to keep belongings in a decorative way. They would also look lovely with some plants grouped together.

Our artisan partner WomenCraft's mission is to support women refugees in Tanzania to become entrepreneurs by using natural materials that grow around them to create income and business skills for independence.
