The chandelier frame is 55cms wide. The spheres protrude a little each side to give a maximum width at the widest point of approximately 60cms. The standard chandelier is 65cm long, comprising 15cm above the frame and a 50cm drop of glass. The drop of glass can be increased, if required. The distance above the frame can also be increased.
If you choose the flush to ceiling frame, the frame lip is 5cm deep and there is a 1cm shadow gap between the top of the frame and the ceiling.
Based on the minimum drop of glass of 50cm, this gives a shortest possible length from the ceiling to the bottom of the lowest sphere of 56cm.
Approximate chandelier weights; 50cm 11-13kgs, 60cm 12-14kgs, 70cm 13-15kgs, 80cm 14-16kg, 90cm 15-17kg and 100cm 16-18kgs. If the light sources are concealed, these weights will increase by approximately 10kgs per chandelier.
The gorgeous glass spheres are individually blown in the UK and Europe and are made to our exact specification. Most of our chandeliers feature spheres with different textures to introduce additional variety and interest.
Individually, each sphere is a thing of beauty so you can imagine the effect of 40 or more together.
Each chandelier also features a number of small solid clear glass spheres which work beautifully with the blown glass reflecting the surrounding colours and shapes.
The chandelier frames are made to order by our specialist metal worker. We have worked with our metal workers for over 15 years and they are neighbours of ours in South London.
When your chandelier frame has been made, it is plated or powder coated in your chosen colour finish.
Each chandelier features multiple light sources which are either visible spiral filament light bulbs or are concealed inside blown glass globes. The lightbulbs are E14/E27, are dimmable and are LED for extra long life. They are suspended from twisted fabric cable in a colour to match your frame.
If you choose to have the light sources concealed inside blown glass globes, this adds £250 per light source and we recommended a minimum of three light sources and a maximum of five.
The chandelier can be easily cleaned with a microfibre cloth, or similar. For a deep clean, each sphere can be polished with a glass cleaner and the frame can be cleaned with a metal polish. The lightbulbs are easy to change and equivalent LED lightbulbs to the ones we supply are readily available or can be ordered through us.
We supply the LED lightbulbs which should last approximately 15,000 hours.
