The Balance Board is handmade from high quality birch plywood and solid maple both of which are robust materials which may show slight variations in colour and structure adding to the natural character and uniqueness of the product. It is finished with a waterproof wax finish suitable for indoor and outdoor use which should be maintenance free. The Balance Board is fully assembled and comes with a spare disc with the triskel design cut out, in time we hope to be able to offer a variety of other designs. Two balls one red and one black are also supplied with a ball holder. An instruction for use, maintenance and safety manual is included with the Balance Board
The Balance Board provides for the effortless development of a variety of skills. The observed benefits cognitive, behavioural, emotional, visual / reading and motor can change our perceptions as to why we all should be using a Balance Board. It can also be used as an aid for Physiotherapy when recovering from a varityy of injuries, labourious exercises become fun with the ball game. The introduction of a stopwatch for moving the ball around the baord brings a new dimension to the game.
