Contemporary Candle Holder

This tall candleholder has been handmade and slab-built out of white stoneware clay. Whilst the clay is still wet, it is then hand painted using coloured clay slip and then embellished with gold lustre after it has been glazed. All ceramics are handmade in my studio in Bristol.

The gold embellishment is made from gold lustre, containing 8% real 22 karat gold. It is recommended to handwash the item to prolong the life of the gold. Gold lustre is food safe, stronger than gold leaf and will not flake off.

The interior of the holder is approx 2.2cm. It should fit most wax candlesticks - if the candle is too wide you can screw/melt the bottom in to fit. If smaller then it sits inside and rests inside.
