A bold and funky cake stand to compliment any cake.
Ideal for showing off cakes, tapas, treats. Very popular for wedding presents or for milestone birthdays, personalising it with initials, dates or a special message.
Note from maker: My ceramics are made in small batches in my studio and are not mass produced. As they are handmade like this, each one is unique, has its own charm and not a single one is the same so they could appear to have small differences from the image shown. However do I try to match the size, colour, pattern and shape to my best ability.
From the method I make and fire my ceramics I am unable to glaze the bottom (this is because it would melt to the kiln shelf in the firing) but I sand it afterwards to make it smooth. I make the stand and the plate separately and bond them together after they are fired, this is because I found the weight of the plate would droop and warp around the stand when the clay becomes molten again in the firing, so it is to ensure the plate is flat to hold the cake.
Variations
Available in small or large. Small is great for cupcakes or smaller cakes and large is more suitable for regular sized cakes. Both put together creates a 2 tier cupcake stand which looks fantastic!
The personalisation is embossed ceramic plaque with gold letters. Up to 2 lines of 15 characters. For bespoke placements of personalisation, please contact me.

This cake stand has been handmade and slab-built out of white stoneware clay. Whilst the clay is still wet, it is then hand painted using my own original designs and then embellished with gold lustre after it has been glazed. All ceramics are handmade in my studio in Bristol. Hand washing is advised.
