Himalayan Medium Grain Pink Rock Salt

This medium grain tasty rock salt acquires its lovely pink hue from the iron found in the natural salt deposits of the mountains.

The Himalayas are some of the youngest mountains in the world. During their traumatic formation a sea was trapped which dried and then became buried, until now being mined for its wonderful salt.

A spectrum of over 75 elements strengthens the flavours present, however it is iron which dominates and provides colour. The grain size is between 2 and 7 mm.

A worthy addition to any kitchen, Himalayan salt is versatile and has a quick, clean, almost sweet taste.
