Sarees By Marisha is an independent boutique brand that was founded by Marisha Mistry who completed a fashion degree at De Montfort University. She is passionate about creating products that embrace the beauty of South Asian fashion, culture and heritage.

Embracing Indian heritage is heart of the Sarees By Marisha brand. I founded the company in 2018, when I saw a lack of practical and comfortable Indian outfits for children and utilised my knowledge and skills in Fashion design that I acquired from my degree at De Montfort University. I began to design, create and refine easy to wear children’s occasion wear. I went on to design with customers, family co-ordinating outfits to bridesmaids matching sets.

When the pandemic hit the wedding and events industry in 2020 came to a halt, I found that I had a lot of excess material that was being put to no use. I decided to upcycle the off cut material to create fabric baubles. I have since created the bauble chandelier which is a modern way to display the fabric baubles.
