Stylish larger than average size apothecary shaving mug.
For the man who likes to wet shave in the traditional way. The design features ribs on the inside which help to produce a thick lather more quickly by trapping air in the brush as it passes over them.
There are also four pronounced ribs at the bottom of the mug for locating the soap cake. The wider than average top diameter helps to prevent knuckles banging into the sides. The weight of the mug is heavier than most which helps it to sit firmly on a worktop surface when lathering up.
Variations
Available in glossy black and ivory with moustache motif. The nature of the black glaze is such that the pigment in the glaze starts to break over sharper edges which emphasises the product's form. All edges are totally protected from moisture absorbtion.
Made from
Made from high fired ceramic earthenware by the process of slip casting which is pouring liquid clay into a plaster mould. All the work necessary to produce the plaster mould has been undertaken by Sculpta Ceramics.
