An eye-catching limited edition print celebrating the vibrant city of Bristol and it's iconic architecture. Hand finished with gold leaf.
‘Balloons Over The M Shed Cargo Cranes’ is inspired by the four electric cranes that stand proud at Bristol Docks. The cranes were built in the 1950s and have borne witness to over half a century of change to the area. They offer a tangible link to Bristol’s industrial and maritime history and have become an iconic landmark for the city. Just as the cranes form part of Bristol’s history, so does the hot air balloon, with the first modern one, The Bristol Belle, launching from College Green for its maiden flight in 1967. Nowadays Bristol is known for the biggest annual balloon fiesta in Europe and the image of a hot air balloon is synonymous with Bristol, almost becoming its emblem.
With a choice of a white or lilac background the prints are limited to an edition of just 75, each one hand numbered and signed. Each print is carefully hand finished with the addition of gold leaf details, adding an extra special and unique touch. The prints are sold unframed but you have the option to add a magnetic poster hanger to your order using the drop down menu.
