A washbag made from scraps of fantastic WWII Army bivouac tents.
These recycled washbags are really charming. They are made from 1940s military bivouac tents we found languishing in a warehouse, many of which were stamped with a 1944 manufacture date. Each bag is unique, with different seams, stamps, marks and stains. Some of them even have handstitched field repairs but all of this just adds to the character. They are marked from when they were used in action.
They would make a great Christmas gift for a Dad with an interest in 20th century history.
Each bag has a leather label detailing their unique heritage and a loop at the side so that the bag can be hung up when showering. It is fastened with a pair of brass press studs.
The bags are handmade in our Cambridgeshire workshop.
We can also add a personalised monogrammed patch to the front flap of the bag.
They are personalised with your initials in capital letters without punctuation.
Due to the recycled nature of these items there is variation in the green colour of the washbag's exterior.
Gift wrap is available in a black gift envelope with gold embossed bird and white gift tag.
