Your ring will be made from 100% recycled sterling silver. Our items are handstamped rather than engraved. This means each letter and/or image is individually hammered into the metal by hand, displacing the metal rather than removing it - this is why there may be slight marks on the underside of the piece. Due to the nature of handstamping the letters are not guaranteed to be perfectly lined up, this is one of the quirks of handstamping and adds to it's lovely handmade nature.
Your ring will be made from 1mm thick recycled sterling silver measuring 5mm in width.
Sterling silver can tarnish over time due to environmental factors, skin acidity or contact with certain chemicals such as soap, suncream, bleach, cleaning products, moisturising cream, perfume etc. In some cases this can leave a mark on the skin which can be washed off with soap and water. Tarnish can be easily cleaned with a soft polishing cloth or silver jewellery polish in worse cases. Please remove your jewellery before bathing, swimming, showering etc. It is best to remove your jewellery before bed and store it in the box provided. Tarnish is a natural occurrence with sterling silver and not a fault with the product. This natural tarnish can sometimes leave a dark mark on this skin, if this occurs remove the ring and wash the skin with soap to remove the mark and make sure your skin us completely dry before wearing the ring again.
