All of our large Megalodon teeth are 100% original with some light polishing to enhance the colours & textures, our excavators source our Megalodon specimens from clay fields in Indonesia, this means that they have had no water erosion and the serrations are entirely intact and often still sharp!
Due to the immense geological pressures and shifting marine sediments over millions of years, many Megalodon teeth do not fossilise intact. Fragmentation is a natural outcome of the fossilisation process, making these partials no less authentic or valuable in the study of prehistoric life. Instead of discarding them, we decided to breathe new life into these small pieces of preserved fossils, ideal for gifts or new collectors.
