An Apostle spoon has an image of an apostle or other Christian religious figure on the end of the handle, each bearing his distinctive emblem. Apostle spoons were particularly popular in Pre-Reformation times when belief in the services of a patron saint was still strong. They symbolise the Last Supper of Christ in the company of the Apostles and therefore make a wonderful gift for a religious ceremony such as a Christening.

All of my vintage cutlery may show signs of its previous life, which only adds to its charm. It is all sourced here in England and many pieces date back as far as the 1920's.
