Each board is finished with our own traditional board butter, to provide a silky smooth, food-safe, protective coating to your board. We ship a tin of board butter with every board so you can keep yours protected and looking sharp for years to come.
All boards come with food-safe silicon feet to ensure they don’t slip around when in use. The additional height also allows air to circulate, keeping the board dry, and allows you to easily pick it up.

WHAT DOES END-GRAIN MEAN?
END-GRAIN refers to the direction of the wood grain – this is very important when making a chopping board or butcher’s block. End-grain has many benefits over face-grain: it’s better for your knives, longer-lasting, is self-healing, antibacterial, and looks increadible!
END-GRAIN separates as the knife cuts down but springs back together as you lift the knife. This means that the sharp edge of your knife isn’t forced to cut anything other than your ingredients. This action has the added benefit of squeezing out any food particles, ensuring bacteria doesn’t become embedded in the board’s surface.
