Join award-winning Georgie Mason's therapeutic, abstract and textured art class.
What do Keith Richards, Prince Charles and Miley Cyrus have in common? They all find solace and an outlet for their creativity through art. Painting is a great way to get away from the stresses of life.
Art is therapeutic and a studio is the antithesis of pace. If you have always wanted to explore painting, but don’t know how to start, or you have an idea but are unsure or worried about your ability, then you need to meet Georgie Mason and her team.
Georgie is an award-winning abstract landscape painter who works from her studio which is located at the charming Stepney City Farm in the middle of East London. The studio double doors open onto the farm, so you can watch the animals in an atmosphere that feels far removed from the city bustle. During winter months workshops are held at Dalston Clay, a bright art, ceramics and mindfulness studio in the heart of East London.
Mona Hide, co-hosts these transformative workshops and possesses a deep interest in mindfulness and a playful approach to life. As an incredible artist in her own right, she infuses her creations with a unique perspective, captivating audiences with expressive works. Mona's vibrant spirit illuminates the transformative power of mindfulness and creativity, leaving a lasting impact on all she encounters.
Classes are aimed at anyone who would like to spend a peaceful time creating with like-minded souls. Her studio is just the space to get you motivated, and you will have access to all the materials you need to get started. Georgie or Mona will talk you through the process of colour mixing, mark-making and texture, guiding you skilfully through the process until you have created your own painting. Maybe you want a piece for your wall, a gift for a friend .....or just copy a Matisse....this really is a class for anyone of any level who wants to experiment in a studio space.
