Get to really know Manchester. Wander the cobbled streets, cross the canals, and learn about the world’s first industrial suburb. This experience combines stories and food, so you will learn about the city as you sample the epicurean delights.

Ancoats and the Northern Quarter was the epicenter of industrial activity. Mills and ice storage buildings once lined the streets; now these spaces have been reinvented to house Michelin star restaurants and warehouse apartments. Be ready to hear about Manchester's shady past, learn about the 19th-century crime gangs and the 21st-century film sets, and understand why Manchester led the Industrial Revolution.

This is a small tour - no more than 10 people, so you are assured of a personal, relaxed experience. The tour will be led by a local with a real love for the city. Your guide has been chosen for their skill at hosting and storytelling, so expect anecdotes galore.

All the food stops come complete with a background story, and are also seriously tasty. Food lovers will be very happy.
