Now assuming the theatre outing is a treat, and you want the evening to go smoothly, why not indulge with our wine bar special? The bar right in the heart of Covent Garden and theatre land, so you can settle in and absolutely don't panic about the timings. It's a hop, skip, and a jump from most theatres, and you will be installed in your seat, reading the programme while everyone else is still in the crush.

If you don't have the theatre tickets you can still enjoy the atmosphere with a free audio tour. Sir Ian McKellen will be your guide as you discover the history of the West End and its theatres, with a voice map to follow - 'All the World's a Stage and all the men and women merely players' - but of course, he could read telephone numbers and make them interesting. The walk lasts about 75 mins, so a convivial glass or two of deliciousness will be most welcome.
