LAST MINUTE e-vouchers! Join this east London ceramic community. 2 hr beginners experience with a pottery wheel in a beautiful Stoke Newington studio for two.
‘So great…I had to go back’ reads a review for this very hands-on pottery experience using a pottery wheel.
This is an inspiring space. Filled with light, plants and of course, pots. In times of stress, turning to the clay is the antithesis. If you have never manipulated clay this is the moment, in a 2-hour basic session prepare to learn the fundamentals of the throw. This is a very personal class with only two to four people per session, led by Nam and Susi, who want you to explore and develop your skill. There is nothing rigid about the session.
Nan and Susi are practicing artists, but they also love to share. Accessibility is very important to them, and the studio membership is diverse. They have made it their mission to build communities in previously empty spaces, filling the nooks and crannies of the city with clay and good times. An old biscuit factory and a forgotten zip machinery works have all benefited from their involvement.
