Join artist Ffion Morgan for a workshop creating stained glass decorations with pressed wildflowers. Learn a new craft in a relaxing environment.
WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT?
The satisfaction that comes from learning a new craft and taking home your creations far outweighs expectations. This is a unique and creative experience, and an ideal antidote to a frantic life. The workshop takes place in Mivart Studios, Bristol, a hub for creative businesses, artists, and makers. Ffion is a Welsh miniature model maker, whose day job involves creating bespoke replicas of people’s houses, sheds, or shops. She also works with bridal parties, preserving memories of their special day by drying and framing bouquets into art pieces. Ffion is well-placed to teach you how to make your own botanical decorations.
The wildflowers will be dried and ready to go. Choose what to use and how you see the pieces working together. Then, using the vibrant colours of the stained glass, you will frame and edge your work, leaving with the finished decorations complete and ready to hang up when you get home.
TELL ME MORE
This workshop is beginner-friendly—well, we’d be surprised if you’ve done this before—it’s the perfect way to relax, meet new people, and spend a few hours learning a new craft skill. It’s the ideal antidote to a frantic life and highly absorbing, as you carefully decide on the type and placement of the wildflowers. The frames are small but utterly enchanting, with the added bonus that you made it yourself.
