All of our plant pots are designed in 3d modelling software and then printed using PLA filament, also known as polylactic acid. This material is produced using fermentable sugar, most often sourced from corn as it is the most globally available. Despite corn being the most popular, this can also be sourced from things such as sugarcane, tapioca root, cassava and sugar beet pulp. This material is biodegradable and will naturally degrade instead of piling up in landfills. The most positive part of PLA filament is that it is not fossil fuel-based, unlike 95% of the world’s plastic, and is a renewable alternative.
