About us

Eco-friendly living, without compromise.

The Wood Life Project aims to replace everyday plastic items with beautifully designed, plastic-free, eco-friendly, sustainable, British-made and sourced wooden products.

At the Wood Life Project, we create timeless, guilt-free gifts, heirlooms of the future. Each product can be personalised and makes the perfect gifts for our loved ones.

We are Jimmy and Hazel Russell, a husband and wife team, parents to 2 young boys. Creating our company was borne out of concerns we had for the future of our planet and the legacy which was being left behind for our boys. The plastic crisis, buying cheap and mass-produced items from overseas with massive carbon footprints. All things which are contributing to the deterioration of our planet and eco-systems.

We are passionate about giving back to our community, and as such, we make regular charitable donations.

All of our products are made from sustainable wood that has been harvested in the UK only.

Wood is naturally anti-bacterial, the products self-sterilise and therefore do not require as much cleaning as other food serving products. Treat them as you do a chopping board or wooden spoon, no need for wasteful and costly dishwashers!

To help prolong the life of your products, we recommend treating with a food-safe oil once a month or so.

Due to the natural properties of wood, each product will be unique and carries its own unique wood grain and features, no two products will ever be the same, especially if you choose to personalise your item.
