A practical contemporary seat with a retro twist.
This piece was conceived around a vintage leather ottoman cushion from Denmark. Constructed from birch plywood with a thin black glaze, the old metal drawers were rescued from the studio of an iconic London graphic design practice, hence the decision to spray them in the four colour printing process colours CMYK (Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Key-Black).
It would make an ideal hallway seat, a place to pull on boots, look through the post and useful storage for keys and general clutter. We can also imagine it being very at home in reception at a design practice, going back to its roots!
