A heavy and durable oak door stop - complete with your own personalised engraving
Our personalised wooden door stops are handmade from solid English Oak beams material, the same grade of timber which you will find used to construct timber framed houses, except the oak we use is Air-dried, meaning it has been slowly seasoning outside, air drying, for as long as two years. In this time the beams have done there moving and twisting and cracks have appeared. The next step is what makes our products so special, we get to choose the best looking beams for the job. Obviously, we choose the prettiest ones, the ones with the most characters – the diamonds in the rough.
Each engraved oak doorstop is then finished by hand and fitted with an attractive hand forged iron ring, making them look very elegant and rustic. Four rubber feet are also fitted to the bottom for extra grip.
Weight:
Our wooden doorstop weighs roughly 3 – 5KG overall. Making them very heavy indeed! Perfect for keeping your front door open against the wind and they look just fabulous doing it!
Our personalised wooden doorstops are very beautiful and will make a perfect gift for that someone special. They are perfect as wedding gifts and wonderful 5th wedding anniversaries gift ideas. They are original and long lasting. Our personalised wooden door stops will create a lasting impression wherever they are placed. Your doorstop will have cracks and splits. After you take delivery you will find that new cracks may appear and existing cracks may widen further, which is all part of their charm.
Please note: Our Doorstops come with rubber feet to improve grip, please be aware, this can mark certain floors. Our personalised oak Doorstops are made from semi seasoned oak beams that feature cracks. Cracks can appear on all four sides. We will do our best to avoid splits when we engrave lettering but it can't always be helped especially when ordering engraving on more than one side. After delivery, you will find that new cracks may appear and existing cracks may widen further.
