Handmade by artisans from our partner Womens Empowerment Programme, the programme works to support vulnerable women in the urban and rural areas of Bangladesh through handicrafts. The programme are proud members of World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO).

The baskets are made from seagrass which is a magical plant valued across the world for its properties. In Bangladesh it is cherished for the tools of the trade to be woven into these beautiful baskets: Seagrass plays a vital role in stabilising the soil in flooded areas of Bangladesh.

This basket is the perfect storage item for magazines, laundry, throws, cushions, books, firewood and much much more. Cleverly designed. the basket will fold in on itself when empty to be tucked away when not in use.
