Handmade in Japan. This one-of-a-kind sculptural vase is a great interior decor item which has a timeless artistic quality.
Designed and hand crafted by Sakamoto Chinoko, up-and-coming Japanese studio artist who has a strong focus on abstract clay sculpture. Sakamoto has exhibited internationally including prestigious craft shows in London.
With this piece, modernist geometry and Japanese ceramic tradition is happily married.
Use this piece as a statement vase. It will catch everyone's eye even without flowers in! A perfect present for modern art lovers.
The process of making is firstly mould cast, then hand carved and reshaped. Each piece is one-off.
Finished with matt glazing to bring soft and nuanced tone in two colours.
