Japanese Origami Stencil Dyed Handmade Paper Washi

These Origami papers are entirely handcrafted, made of natural fibres, and hand dyed using traditional stencil templates. Soft and flexible yet very sturdy, ideal to fold into shapes or decorative craft projects. It would make a perfect small gift, also great for card making and collage. As the paper was not bleached, the colours look slightly muted, and gives a reminiscence of old folk toys. Each pack is an assortment of 20 different designs.

Japanese stencil-dyeing (Katazome) is a centuries old Kimono dyeing technique that manages the most elaborate design by dyeing only.
