Watching them grow and transform in your garden makes the whole process just as rewarding as the harvest itself! The most natural way to grow Shiitake mushrooms is on hardwood logs using mushroom dowels. This is a gradual (6-12 months for first harvest) and low intensity method that can see you harvesting shiitake mushrooms for up to 8 years.
