Zack Reclaimed Scaffolding Board Sitting and Standing Desk with Shelves and Roll-out Storage Drawers On the left is a standard fixed height desk which is designed to be sat at... on the right is an adjustable height standing desk... it just needs a few turns of an allen key in a few fittings to lift or lower the desk top by around 400mm... this allows for multiple users to find their best working desk height or for a single user to adapt their working height depending on how their back might be feeling or if they want to introduce a chair ! This shelving system can be made to measure to your own specifications. The unit shown here was h x : 2325mm x w: 2185mm x d: 1570mm Lots of handy shelving for files, books etc and two very useful storage drawers on castors for ease of use. Funky copper coated steel grills create a great utility design feature and are strong enough to attach computer screens to (which is exactly what the client who commissioned this unit has done - we just didn't have screens to accessorise with when we took the photos in the workshop before we despatched it !). These shelves can be made with double the number of steel pipe risers so it can be freestanding (but wall tethering is strongly advised)... the piping and fixings can be spray painted any colour.... scaffolding boards could be substituted for reclaimed floor boards, chunky reclaimed timber of any type, toughened glass, sheet metal, wire grills, railway sleepers... whatever you would like... we can source anything and gladly will ! The scaffolding boards pictured in this example were simply brushed down so they retained a gritty raw look and then finished with a gorgeous dark walnut wax, but anything you choose to use can be distressed or polished up to create any required finish.
