An exceptional barrel aged rum, full of flavour charecter and imported from Free State, South Africa for the UK to enjoy.
This rum began as an experiment by chef in 2012 trying to match the best rums made in Jamaica.
The result?
A beautiful small batch rum produced by a chef and a farmer, on a farm 50 miles outside of Johannesburg, South Africa. Thiis is a unique rum with the fermentation, distilling, ageing and bottling all taking place on the farm. This is a molasses based rum, full of flavour and super smooth with woody, cinammon, caramel and vanilla notes. It is aged in a charred barell and this adds a subtly smokey notes.
