Marvellously unusual Christmas Advent calender made from recycled seed packets
A great, alternative Advent Calendar! 25 seed packets, containing British wildflower seeds (every day will be a surprise, you will not know the seeds until you open them!). The seed packets are made from quality off-white recycled paper and measure 9 x 12 cm each. The seeds will be inside in a glassine paper paper sachet - not a plastic and foil one.
What is glassine paper? Glassine paper is an eco-friendly and plastic-free alternative to mass-produced heat-sealed plastic and foil/paper sachets. Unlike those sachets glassine paper can be recycled and is biodegradable. It is also resistant to moisture and will keep the seeds dry in the main packet.
Also included is red and white Bakers twine or red ribbon (depending what is in stock at the time you order) and wooden pegs - secure the seed packets to the twine/ribbon with the pegs and hang up wherever you like in the manner of bunting!
This unusual alternative Christmas Advent calendar is great for the environment and the seeds inside are great for helping our declining populations of butterflies, bees and other insects.
The wildflower seeds are all British species that have been grown in the UK by a reputable, registered with APHA grower. Each packet has an information sheet inside (printed on recycled card) which details the wildflower concerned and the sowing instructions.
