I was once on my way to work and a woman looked at me with such pity, like she wanted to reach into her bag and lend me a brush. I was so annoyed by the time I got to work that my poor friend Jen took the brunt of my frustration, “I don’t need her sympathy Jen! It’s meant to look like this!
