Woodys Gifts was an idea I'd been playing with for quite some time but, in the end, was born out of the pandemic. We had been working with wood for many years but always 'on-site'. Suddenly we were no longer allowed to visit customers premises and it soon became clear that another source of income would be needed. So I thought, why not turn our hands to creating gifts from wood at home. My wife & I had recently been blessed with our firstborn, a beautiful baby girl and, after finding one of her tiny handprints, indelibly placed on our car window, I decided to try and capture all of our handprints in wood, mine, my wifes and, of course, our precious daughters. After a few failed attempts, I achieved the effect I'd been looking for and the rest, as they say, is history. All our materials are sourced as locally as possible here on the South Coast and the actual pieces are created in my workshop in Angmering. We truly are a 'Cottage Industry'.
