The recycled brass is from West Africa and comes from old plumbing fittings, collected and transformed using the ancient Asante Lost Wax Process. Each piece is first hand molded in local honeybee wax giving evey piece it's own particular identity. With no electricity available this is then fired in an earth kiln. The whole process gives the metal a wonderful worn quality.

For personalising you can chose up to 10 characters (including spaces and fullstops), which can be hand stamped on the front and/or back. The hoop is not fixed rigidly by the cord and will swivel, so characters will not necessarily be visible at all times.
All letters are UPPERCASE and stamped FACING OUT but if you have a specific requirement regarding the placing of your characters please specify when ordering, otherwise they will be stamped in the design we feel most suitable. Please represent the heart stamp with ~
Please note the characters are stamped by hand, so alignment and spacing will not be precise but adds to the overall handmade nature of this item.
Available in 9 different cord colours. The cord may seem a little stiff at first but softens very quickly with wear.
