For personalising you can chose up to 7 characters (letters or numbers), including spaces and fullstops. Please note the characters are stamped by hand, so alignment and spacing will not be precise but adds to the overall handmade nature of this item. All letters are UPPERCASE and will be either 2mm or 3mm depending on design.

These identity bars are entirely handmade in rural Africa and each one is quite unique in its exact shape and finish, we consider that this is what makes our jewellery special. The recycled brass is from West Africa and comes from old plumbing fittings, collected and transformed using the ancient Asante Lost Wax Process. Each charm is first hand molded in local honeybee wax giving evey piece it's own particular identity. With no electricity available this is then fired in an earth kiln. The whole process gives the metal a wonderful worn quality.
