Discover all eighteen species of penguin and where they live with our ‘penguins of the world’ poster and find out more about the coldest, windiest place on Earth using the Antarctica fact file. Combine science and some fun with our recipe to make ice cream in a bag, our eco hero card features worldwide penguin expert Pablo ‘Popi’ Garcia Borboroglu and our I Spy card will get you outside hunting for rocks. You’ll find a postcard to help you start a campaign to get everyone thinking about their carbon footprint. There’s also an Adélie penguin rhyme, a quiz to test your penguin knowledge, a pledge card and 20 amazing Adélie penguin facts to wow your friends. There’s 2 activity cards packed with eight fun puzzles so you can start becoming a penguin expert immediately!
Activities include raiding the recycling to craf a waddling penguin, making a wind sock, experimenting with ice, colour and light by making an icy orb as well as a guide to planting a mini rockery.
There’s also a little something for grown-ups inside to help you answer any about the ozone layer as well as a useful glossary.
BONUS ONLINE CONTENT: Once your little eco hero has completed the activities, they can download a certificate to show their friends that they are a real PENGUIN expert! (QR code included in box)
WHO ARE THEY FOR: Our Tool Kits are designed for children aged 5+ but work best when families explore and learn from them together. All the activities have easy instructions, but many will need some adult supervision particularly for the youngest children.
