Our Number Line is a fantastic visual aid for helping children develop their understanding of numbers, counting, addition and subtraction. It is made from FSC beech wood and comes with a wooden tracing stick.
Children will start to use number lines in their learning when they are 5-7 years old, Key Stage 1 in school. We have designed our number line to include jump lines across the top and the bottom which will help children to see the jumps between numbers when they are counting up the number line for addition or down the number line for subtraction.
Our number line is also double sided and has a blank number line on the reverse side which will be useful for older children who are doing larger calculations.
From using number lines regularly with our own children we wanted to design something that would be hard wearing and reusable for many years to come. All our beech wood tracing boards are FSC certified and are finished with a natural raw oil which keeps the wood protected.
