The Candle of Tapirs print features all four living species of tapirs, and their babies. Young tapirs are covered in a spotted and striped pattern in order to camouflage them from predators, which they lose as they grow older. Sadly all four species are considered endangered or vulnerable, so it is more important than ever to raise awareness about these animals! Each tapir is hand painted in watercolour before being digitally printed in the UK onto thick 300gsm card using eco-friendly inks. The front has a glossy water-based coating while the back remains matte to give it that authentic seaside souvenir feel.
