Myriapoda (n) - the subphylum of over 16,000 species of arthropods including centipedes and millipedes.
Following on from the popular Lepidoptera and Coleoptera prints, the Myriapoda print is the next in a line of designs inspired by the underrated creatures of the animal kingdom, wriggly things dug up from our gardens and hiding under rocks.
Each centipede has been hand painted in watercolour by London-based designer Maddie Chambers before being digitally printed in the UK onto 150gsm recycled paper using eco-friendly inks.For a vintage book plate feel, the approximate species of each mythical beetle has been noted underneath in calligraphy. The perfect addition to an art collection or gallery wall, or great for adding a pop of colour to a room on its own.
