Handwoven Block Printed 'Peace Silk' Pashmina Scarf Shawl

This Shawl is crafted from" Peace Silk" also known as Ahimsa or vegan silk which has been handspun and handwoven.

This silk is organic. It is collected from the forests in northern India, where the moth is allowed to fly free from the cocoon before the silk is reeled. Thus it is a cruelty free and sustainable method of producing the silk. The silk is reeled, a very laborious procedure, hand woven and then beautifully hand block printed. Each piece is unique and makes a powerful statement, both ethical and artistic.
