Auntie Mims creates products that are not common-place and conventional, but unexpectedly personal and sentimental. Like all of you, our most favourite thing is feeling happy. And we believe that with a little thought, there is fun to be found within 'the ordinary'; and with a little effort, 'the mundane' can make you smile.
'Auntie Mims' comes directly from the name I've been known as since I was a tiddler - I was always Little Mims, then I was Big Mims, and when I became an aunt, I was Auntie Mims. That seemed perfect as a name to encompass all we stand for as a family business.
Our workshop is a converted boiler house near the White Cliffs of Dover, which is where we design and engrave our range of products. Everything we make is inspired by the things in life that we love best, all squished together: our family (our five small children most of all); smiling faces; sharing something precious; nostalgic and hazy memories; surprising acts of friendship; making the most of every minute, and, of course, CAKE!
Our products make perfect gifts because they are not only rather pretty (and often useful too), but they can be used to convey a message between you and the lucky recipient (as simple or personal a message as you'd like it to be) - and to guarantee that no-one tries to steal them, they can all be personalised!

Our delivery services
We offer standard delivery (within our estimated time frames) and express delivery for those times where you might have forgotten a special occasion (shh!, we won't tell!) or need something urgently. We generally use Royal Mail for Standard Delivery of items (Royal Mail 24 or 48).
Please note that for School addresses and other similar institutions we would always recommend using an Express service - this will be with DPD and you can choose or alter the delivery window accordingly to avoid Saturday and out of hours delivery attempts.
Delivery times for RM items and DPD will usually be before 7pm but can be as late as 9pm.
If your need is REALLY urgent you can even collect from our Dover Studio - usually on the same day. Please get in touch with us via the 'ask the seller a question' link. We will always do all we can to help.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All timescales (other than for express delivery) are ESTIMATED. You will often receive your item well before the estimated day but sometimes (due to postal issues, not Auntie Mims issues!) things may take a day or two longer. Do always stay in touch and we shall reassure you and help as much as we can. If you item is time sensitive PLEASE use express or be in touch to let us know and we will always do all we can to help. Remember, we make everything, individually, to order. If your order is at all time sensitive USE EXPRESS - it will receive the utmost care and attention. Royal Mail will not entertain a claim without confirmation of a delivery office check, except 15 days after dispatch so please be prepared to double check your local delivery office to speed up this proceed - if an item is thought lost we will always replace express with confirmation.
Please note that Royal Mail will not entertain claims for standard delivery items until 15 days after posting. We may, at our absolute discretion, replace items in advance of this date, but are not obliged to.
We use fuss free packaging for our orders - the minimum impact to the environment is key whilst maximising protection of your goodies. For this reason we do not generally offer a gift wrap service - that bit is down to you! Please recycle cardboard and paper packaging where possible - we do not use plastics. Our gift boxes are constructed for us from acid free paper with an unbleached cotton pad.
