Jewel Flower Garden Seed Kit

This kit is based upon the award winning show garden I created at BBC Gardeners' World Live. Designed to attract bumble bees and butterflies. Makes a lovely gift for Mother's Day, new home owners, birthdays and anniversaries. Suitable for new or experienced gardeners alike.

Plant in normal soil in a sunny or part sunny garden.

Gift box includes three packets of seeds and a notebook.

The notebook has a bright floral design on the front cover. Its A6 (pocket size), lined and has a cute calendula illustration on each page.

Calendula - commonly known as pot marigolds and are loved by bees. Sow indoors February-April. Sow outdoors March to June or August to October (later sowings mean the flowers will bloom the following year). They grow to around 60cm tall and will flower from May to October if you dead-head them regularly. Need to be sown each year for new flowers.

Zinnia - Beautiful bright bi-colour flowers which grow to around 70cm tall and are great cut flowers too. Sow them in the pot/border where they are to grow as they don't like root disturbance. Sow outdoors May-June and will flower July-October.

Verbena bonariensis - A tall, elegant perennial has thin stems with a purple bobble-type flower on top. Grows to around 2m tall. Sow indoors Jan-April, flowers from June-October (first frosts).

All seeds are supplied by Mr Fothergills in foil sachets to ensure freshness, however we recommend all seeds are sown within the first year of purchase.

Each seed pack includes easy to follow instructions, along with a mini planting plan on where to place them in the garden border.

Add some luxury gardening gloves made by Burgon & Ball - choose from men or womens. NOT suitable for vegans due to the leather trim. One size only - women's small/medium and men's large. They have padded palms for extra comfort.
