Button & Bean was born out of a love for jewellery (well can't blame us there...!) and the knowledge that our little one's were growing fast.
Like many of you we did the handprints, footprints, and have as many photo's as we can crammed on the walls. But we wanted something different. Something we could have when we were at work, out shopping, doing the school run or on a rare evening out!
Our range is made in solid sterling silver. There's something for everyone - gorgeous pendants and necklaces for mum's, key rings for grandparents and cuff link's for daddies.
As individual as your child, gorgeous to wear and amazing to touch.
A self-taught artist and mother of two, I began to work with precious metal in 2007, making a small pendant to wear myself. I was flooded with compliments and questions about where I bought it. I came to realise how much people craved significant jewellery that said precisely what they wanted to say.
Back then in 2007, I created the tiny words and cast photos that make my jewellery notable while sitting alone at my kitchen table, then took custom orders at school fairs.
I’m proud that our company continues to grow, creating local jobs in our community – and I’m deeply touched by the clients who have made jewellery from Button & Bean integral to a special day or occasion.

Clarity of fingerpint
In most cases the fingerprint is very clear but it does depend on the child’s age and the depth of lines on their finger. The shallower the lines the less defined the ridges may be. You will be able to tell from the putty impression how defined the print will be. But even with few lines or undefined ones you still get a lovely finger shaped dimple imprint, as unique as your little angel and an everlasting memory of how small they once were.
Item Descriptions
All pieces are handmade and may vary slightly from those shown. Each piece is cut, engraved and polished to a very high standard however this differs from machine made jewellery. By it’s very nature it is organic in look and feel – adding to its charm and tactile quality.
Caring for your jewellery
All jewellery is delicate and susceptible to damage and scratching. Solid silver is a relatively soft metal and we recommend that you remove your jewellery (especially bangles) when doing manual work such as housework or gardening. To maintain the original condition of your silver jewellery, polish your pieces regularly using a non-abrasive cleaning cloth. Avoid using commercial silver dips as they may remove the antiquing finish. Regularly check all fittings for wear and tear. When not in use store your jewellery carefully and separately.
