Ceramic pieces created to be a part of everyday lives.
I run a small ceramics studio in Selsey called Chisel Pottery, where she shares ideas, giggles and biscuits with my students daily.
I am also a designer and maker of functional ceramics. I gained my ceramic experience at Brighton and Portsmouth Universities, whilst studying for Fine Art degree.
The inspiration for my work comes from everyday life - I study everyday objects we tend to take for granted - like a crumpled paper bag or a coffee bean sack and try to find my own interpretation of those generic industrial objects in clay. I work with muted, natural tones to complement the earthy colours of clay.
I design and craft each piece by hand and then create a plaster mould to preserve the shape.
