About us

Colourful, sustainable clothes for babies and kids up to 6 years old: Free from gender-stereotypes; Made from Organic Cotton; and 'Kid approved'

Hi, I'm Sal, founder of Ducky Zebra. We create colourful, sustainable clothes for babies and kids up to 6 years old. Our designs are free from gender stereotypes and inspire kindness and confidence in those who wear them.

Our clothes have all been approved by children themselves (hence the bright colours and big pockets) and are made from GOTS certified Organic Cotton. We include clever features like 2-way zips for easy dressing and roll down cuffs to give extra length as the child grows.

Every item includes a splash ‘power button’, often hidden inside a pocket, which acts as a physical reminder for children to splash kindness and confidence, even at times when it might be hard.

We launched towards the end of 2021 after growing frustrated with the harmful stereotypes found in high-street kids' clothing: pink, cute and impractical vs blue, aggressive and adventure-seeking. We may be a small start-up, but we have big plans to disrupt kids' fashion and create a more equal world.

SUSTAINABLE FASHION

Award winning 'kid-approved' designs

We design our clothes in Oxford and make them in a small factory towards the south of India. We’re proud to be working with our manufacturing partner, who only focus on sustainable, ethical fashion. They’re GOTS certified and continually looking for ways to rethink their processes to reduce their environmental impact. Currently 50% of their power comes from solar energy and soon this will be 85%.

We're delighted to have featured in John Lewis, The Telegraph, The Times, South Today, Juno Magazine and BBC Radio Oxford.

And we're super proud of the awards we've received, including:

* Dragon's Den's Theo Pathitis' 'Small Business Sunday' Award

* The Approved 'Let Clothes be Clothes' Badge

* Shortlisted for the Junior Design Award 2022
