Fairy Made Paperart

My name is Claire (Fairy to those who know me, hence my business name) and I am an illustrator and papercutting artist. Much of my work is inspired or informed by my love of nature. Having grown up in a veritable menagerie of pets, they were always my chosen subjects to draw and now I am happy to create gorgeous artwork of your furry friends for you.

I create both papercut artwork and ink illustrations. All of my original papercuts are hand drawn and cut to order. Each piece is meticulously cut out by hand with a scalpel from a single sheet of paper so no two will ever be the same. My original artwork is then often transformed into an array of beautiful paper goods, fine art prints, screen prints, homewares and much, much more. Often even my printed work is hand embellished so each piece is unique and lovingly made.

My work is brought to life in my small home studio in the heart of Manchester which I share with an obscenely large collection of notebooks, drawing pens and two furry pug fiends called Grimlock and Groot.
