The tiles are made by pressing Poppies into clay, removing them & pouring plaster over to create the cast. When dry the clay is peeled off to reveal the raised impression. They are then mounted on to a piece of hardwood to create a striking contrast. A small hole is drilled in the back for hanging up, or it can simply be displayed on a shelf. All the tiles are signed on the back along with the name of the plant.
Made from casting plaster, the tiles are only suitable for indoor use. Avoid placing in rooms with lots of condensation or moisture, or near any direct heat source.
The backing is made from hardwood. To clean dust lightly, avoid handling too much as plaster is porous & may absorb oil from your skin.
