A fantastic recreation of the full moon, engraved into thick cream card and mounted against a black night sky with stars and planets.
This Full Moon Wall Hanging is so evocative! We were inspired to create it after seeing the glorious Snow Moon in February 2021.
After alot of trial and error we finally developed a technique to make the picture look as realistic as possible. Created from an original photograph the detail of the moon is engraved into a cream core mounting card. This gives the moon its slightly off white appearance, and details all the craters and mountains of the lunar landscape. This engraved card is then mounted so that it floats within the box frame. In the background is a starscape cut with stars and planets, including Mars and Jupiter.
We are so happy with this piece and plan a range of celestail projects over the next few months. It's the perfect addition to any gallery wall, particularly for those who love nothing better than wrapping up warm and staring into the night sky, wondering what the possiblities are.
