The pewter egg cup features the lovely natural texture of an acorn cup and when an egg is placed in it, has the appearance of an acorn.

The egg cup has the English proverb "Great oaks from little acorns grow" around the inner base. The specially designed spoon has a delicate oak leaf finial and rests in grooves on top of the acorn cup.

Every Glover and Smith design is made from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely food safe. Because we use solid metal the surface of your Acorn Christening egg cup and spoon will never flake like silver plate. To clean just wash with warm soapy water.
