Whether you’re loyal to a traditional breakfast brew or want to experience something new, we want to show you how good tea can be, when it’s done right. Our teas are carefully sourced from around the world, with our team always looking for something special. We then focus on the brewing to ensure every cup tastes just as it should.
Having started brewing and serving tea back in 2012 from a 1974 Citroen H van, many years later and thanks to the support of our many wonderful customers, friends, partners and suppliers, Good & Proper Tea has grown to an online store, a fast-growing network of cafe and restaurant partners – and of course the van too lives on.

Quality: We find, taste and select exceptional teas, first and foremost looking for quality and flavour in the cup. We focus on single-origin, whole leaf teas where the character is a direct reflection of the area in which it is grown, as well as the craft involved in growing, plucking and processing the leaves. Our care in curating the range, as well as the quality of the product itself, has earned us both our customers’ trust and multiple Great Taste awards.
Sourcing: It is important to us that we know exactly where each tea comes from and who is responsible for harvesting and crafting the leaves we buy. We work exclusively with trusted farms, co-operatives, partners and suppliers who share our values, always paying well above fair-trade prices.
Packaging: We are committed to reducing any environmental impact our packaging has before & after use. We are proud to say that our entire tea bag range is both fully compostable & certified 100% plastic-free, with our loose-leaf to follow.
Orders placed before midday will be despatched the same day. Any orders after 1pm will be processed the next working day.

In the case of any damaged goods you may return the product within 21 days of delivery. The product must be in new condition and any tea packets unopened.
Make sure to include contact information with the return and if possible, please provide us with a tracking number. Good & Proper Tea suggests you get a receipt and a package ID for the return from the delivery service, as it makes it easier to follow the return shipment if needed.
Good & Proper Tea will make a refund of eligible returns, less delivery costs. To do so we may need a bank account number to transfer the money back to. The easiest way is to e-mail it to us along with a brief description of your case.
Returning a Package
If a returned item is shipped international, please clearly mark the package 'RETURNED GOODS', to avoid any Customs charges. Good & Proper Tea is NOT responsible for any return Customs charges made. Any charges incurred are the responsibility of the customer.
Switching to Another Product Instead of a Refund
Return the product you have received and send us an e-mail telling us which product you want instead.
If the product is lost or you, upon receiving, notice that the item has been damaged during transport, you should immediately report this to us.
For packages that are not picked up from your post office within 14 days, Good & Proper Tea reserves the right to charge you a handling fee to cover return shipping and freight companies' administrative costs.
